Photos of Black 6X5 Bayonets.
Photos 1 and 2 show views of a black 6X5 souvenir bayonet. (clipped latch)
Photos 3 and 4 show views of a black 6X5 mil spec bayonet
Photos 5 and 6 show views of a black 6X5 bayonet with a pinned muzzle ring that was sold in Russia as a hunting knife.
Photos 7 and 8 show views of the pommels of the 3 bayonets mil spec, pinned ring, and souvenir from left to right. All are mold number 15-2. Only real noticeable difference is in the peening of the rivet for the catch on the souvenir bayonet. It has a double ring appearance.
Photo 9 shows the lower back of the scabbards and the wire cutter plate, again mil spec, pinned ring, and souvenir from left to right. There are noticeable differences in the logos and the attachment of the wire cutter anvil.
Photo 10 shows the upper back of the scabbards and partials of the hangers, again mil spec, pinned ring, and souvenir from left to right. The scabbards are all very similar and have different mold numbers 6-2, 8-2, and 6-1 respectively which would easily explain the differences.
Photo 11 shows the etching on the blade of the souvenir bayonet with the modern Izhmash logo followed by HB-5Exp.
The souvenir bayonet may be a Chinese knock off based on the information provided by a contact in Latvia.
