Gents,
I may have 'bought it now' if they shipped to the UK, but they don't USA only, so if anyone is looking for one to add to their collection.

The seller has two for sale on eBay at the moment, one cheaper without hanger and wrist strap and a little rougher condition.

Thanks for the heads up. I still do not have one of these yet. Also several different versions of markings on the scabbards. I keep thinking that more will become available and prices will go down. Wishful thinking? Mike

I also don't have one of these yet, but $250 for mismatched serial numbers is too rich for my blood. I remain hopeful that more of these will pop up down the road for less money.

I agree with you on that, I don't mind paying for an old model that is not being produced any more, as they are only going to get harder to find, in theory. However, I reflect upon my experience with the Egyptian Maadi bayonets, which when I bought my first one for top dollar, where considered very rare. About 12 months later the stock of bayonets flooded the market from the Balkans wars, including hundreds of Egyptian bayonets, which were then being sold 10 a penny. The joys of collecting, I presume the Romanian 6X4 with plastic scabbard is a current issue item, so more will become available over time and the price will reflect that.

I suspect the recently listed AIMS 74 bayonets on Ebay came from Arms of America when they were selling mismatched serial numbered ones for $119.95

Richard,

Sorry, I've been off this board for awhile. I would have worked something out with you.
I bought a letter scabbard AIMS74 bayonet from a fellow collector on GunBroker for a reasonable price.
Can't read the serial number on the knife and no hanger or wrist strap so I threw a Romanian brown leather wrist stap and snap hook hanger on it.

Martin,
No issues, I am still looking for a reasonable priced example, but due to income restrictions now, thanks to current health problems, I may be delaying any further investments in my collection for the immediate future.
