Kalashnikov Bayonets of the World

Recently I acquired this interesting chinese bayonet. It has the brass pin that is usually found on some of the red chinese bayonets. Upon inspection a very dark green tint can be found. It is hard to see.
I have included some comparison pics with the common green Clayco bayonet.

This green brass pin example also has a different smooth surface release button, and an interesting production detail found below the muzzle ring.

Comparison to the common chinese green bayonet

Very interesting! I have never seen one like this, but not a surprise. Lots of little variations, almost like a prototype when just starting production. These bayonets were not arsenal made and not intended for military use. They were made by various small independant manufacturers for the commercial / collectors market. They were made to only basic specifications and very little if any quality control. Difficult to find any two exactly the same.
This example seems like a experimental test version. The unfinished release button and the shaping and finish on the pommel is unique. Also note the beveled edge on the outside edge on the back of the muzzle ring. This bevel is supposed to be on the inside rear of the muzzle ring! Someone read the directions wrong?
The brass grip pin. The color of the material used in molding. The fabric used in molding the scabbard. and other small differences are more common variations.
