How about a Russian soldier carrying a AK74 and with a AKM 6X4 Type II with a LW pommel in a chest rig? Mike

Here is a picture of a Russian field exercise showing the overlap of the AKM and AK74 issue. The soldiers are carrying AK74 rifles and one has an AKM 6X4 Type II bayonet and the other has a AK74 6X5 Type III bayonet. M.

Here's a picture of a Russian AKM 6x3 Type I being worn. Note that the hanger is not attached to the scabbard by the hook. Instead the hilt loop is around the insulator keeping the bayonet higher and not allowing it to flop around. Interesting!? Mike
