True Czechoslovakian AK bayonets + cool stuff for VZ 58

Post by buchtas »

Hi everyone,
New member to the forum but was visiting for years already.
Wanted to express how excited I am to see that there is a quite extensive VZ 58 bayonet thread on the english side of the world, there is not much info to begin with even in the czech language. There is very few books, and the most popular booklet is half made up stuff. But I would love to add what I can wherever I can with more, new or clarifying information.
But back to the main thing, after quite some research, there are actually AK bayonets that were in Czechoslovak and Czech servie (probably in Slovakia after the split as well, not my focus) And after I compile what i have to a postable format, i will add it to the Czechoslovakian tab. Also some experimental stuff for czech AKs, yes AKs not VZs, it also exists...

Hope you will enjoy what I can bring to this trasure trove of a forum....

Also here is a sneak & peek for one of the sources for the actuall AK bayonets in ČSLA and AČR use

Best regards to you all,

Martin

Are you sure that the czech made a SVD Dragunov?

In the sources i have, they were imported from Russia so it's normal to see a manual in czech language.

Hi, never said SVDs were made by Czechoslovakia or Czech Republic, yes they were imported in early 80s, and that import included bayonets. I want to do the dedicated post about them.

And yes, obvisouly the manual would be in czech, but the thing is among collectors, there is basically not much knowledge about the fact that the rifles came with bayonets. Also this original manual is quite rare today, not many were made, not many survived their service.
